The June Lake Theater Festival is about three things: Art, Nature and Community. It was born out of a desire for our audiences and artists alike to experience and celebrate art in one of the most beautiful natural environments there is. It is our hope that each person involved will walk away with a greater love for the other, a desire to continue watching and creating meaningful art and a deeper commitment to respect and protect the earth we live on.
Join us for a beautiful outdoor theater festival in the magical mountains of the June Lake Loop. On Friday, August 16, 2019 come see original plays performed by incredible world class artists for an evening of inspiration and enjoyment you won’t soon forget!
Why June Lake?
Because it is special. Tucked away in the Eastern Sierra mountain range this piece of heaven is home to majestic peaks, crystal lakes, cascading waterfalls and clean mountain air. The natural beauty of June Lake is inherently awe inspiring and so we believe a perfect place to create and experience great new art.
This years plays will consist of a series of short works developed by talented writers and directors to fit into the natural environment of our performance space.
We are lucky to be using a diverse group of talented artists from all over the United States. More info and bios to come!
Giving back to the community is a priority for us. That is why we are offering a series of free artistic workshops in conjunction with the festival. These will be taught by some of the incredible artists involved! Some of these workshops will include: Acting, Creative Writing and Movement for adults and children. Visit our Attend page to reserve your spot before we fill up!
